Internet security and performance provider has opened its first Canadian office as reported by IT World Canada, the latest addition to the company’s Canadian presence, which already includes a data center and several thousand customers.
While Michelle Zatlyn, the Saskatchewan-born President and co-founder of Cloudflare, had hoped for a live opening event, the COVID pandemic has kept her in San Francisco and she has had to settle for a virtual opening. However, Zatlyn is proud to have the Canadian office joining the Cloudflare team. When asked why it took so long to open an office in her home country, she cited both the order of priorities and the search for an appropriate regional manager to operate it. She believes she’s found it in Ash Mathur, who becomes head of sales for Cloudflare Canada. He’s worked for Cisco, Splunk, CenturyLink, and Microsoft.
