At a recent meetup of the Canadian Internet Registration Authority (CIRA) at the Rosewood Hotel George in Vancouver, a panel of experts sounded off on the state of internet infrastructure in Canada along with digital literacy. They concluded:
- That CIRA’s Community Investment Program was an excellent example of the the initiatives to get Canadians online in action.
- There are several projects that are addressing gaps in the Canadian internet, including the Vancouver Internet Exchange (VANIX) and the Electronic Devices Privacy Handbook
A review of the discussion can be found on CIRA’s website.
